I am excited to share the re-launch of my legal career consulting business, ForeReach Consulting.

Over the past five years, my career has taken a number of turns. I stepped into a director role with a client, which meant I needed to put my business on hold while I focused full-time on that work. From there, I returned to legal practice with the government and co-founded an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion consulting firm, believing that combination would align both my professional direction and my passion for inclusion.

But over time, I realized something important: I had been right the first time. Traditional legal practice—and even adjacent paths—were not where I was the happiest professionally.

During a recent education sabbatical and period of reflection, it became clear to me that the most energized, focused, and aligned version of my professional life has always been with ForeReach Consulting. Even while exploring other roles and applying for secure employment positions, I kept coming back to the same insight: this is where I do my best work.

What once felt like detours were actually clarifying experiences. My pursuit of ICF coaching certification and my growing focus on coaching neurodiversity in the work place have also strengthened and expanded my EDI-informed approach, which will add depth to how I support individuals and organizations through my business.

I also realized that even when I wasn’t formally focused on ForeReach, I was still taking on clients here and there—and every time I did, it reinforced the same thing. This is the work that feels most natural and most meaningful to me.

So I have decided to fully re-launch ForeReach Consulting—this time with clarity, intention, and renewed energy. Not as something I do on the side, but as the centre of my work once again.

Three takeaways from this journey:

1) It’s never too late to chart a new path.

2) Different environments reveal more about ourselves than we expect.

3) Trusting your instincts matters—even when the path isn’t linear.

I’m looking forward to what comes next.
